Problems receiving new email after new hard drive installed.
Just had to have a new hard drive, mother board, and video card installed. Used to be that I could click the 'email' icon on my desktop and my new email would automatically open when the Windows Mail opened. Now, I can't get my new email unless I manually click on the Send/Receive button. I have the settings checked to check for new email every 5 minutes. What am I doing wrong now? Thanks for any help! 1 person needs an answerI do too

Are you using Vista's Windows Mail? (This is an XP forum). Or Windows Live Mail? What version?Bruce HagenMS-MVP Oct. 1, 2004 ~ Sept. 30, 2010Imperial Beach, CA

Yes, I am using Vista, funny.....this is the help windown that popped up for me! Sorry! That's alright. Mostly wanted to be sure what we were dealing with. This is the Vista forum for the future.Vista Networking, Email and Getting Onlinehttp://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistanetworking/threadsTools | Options | General. Is: Send and Receive at startup checked? Also try changing it to 6 or 4 minutes. Send yourself a test message and close WinMail immediately. Wait a minute and then open WinMail. Any luck?Bruce HagenMS-MVP Oct. 1, 2004 ~ Sept. 30, 2010Imperial Beach, CA
