Problems deleting an ad hoc network
When i purchased a new laptop with vista basic installed, one of the first things i had a look at was how to set up an ad hoc network. Now no matter where i look i can not find the option to delete this temporary network. I assumed it would go as soon as the network was closed down but its still showing nearly 6 weeks later. Is there some option in vista im missing that allows me to delete this network?

I am having the same problem aswell. I have Vista Home premium. I had set up a ad hoc network as part of a test, and now i now want it. But before i closed it down i hibernated my laptop, and when i reopened windows, i saw i was not connevted to any wireless, but using my wi-fi catcher i saw i was still broadcasting my ad hoc network. since then i have created a few more, and clicked remove in the networks menu, and that has deleted them, but the first one is stil there and broadcasting. The other problem is that the first one i made was an unsecure ad hoc network, so the sooner i could get rid of it the better!Any help ?[offtopic]is there a moderator or an admin that can delete the account meeces2911 ?? for some reason i had to re asign a username to my .net passport, and my old account was stil there.[/offtopic]

Nevermind, i was unpluging my laptop, and i knocked out the power cable before i put the battery in. This wiped half of my exe's and winsock. So i had to system restore BEFORE i created the ad hoc network. but i would still like to know the solution to this problem, (if anyone has one), just incase it happenes again.

Actually, if you don't check "save network". This solution doesn't work. I think this is a bug for vista. It really sucks! Please call me Ryan Chang

Just go to manage wireless networks, then your ad-hoc network will be listed there and you can delete it if you want.
