Problems connecting to Wireless routers after installing Vista updates
Hi there. I was wondering if anybody can help me here. I just recently bought a Toshiba A210-062 laptop with Windows Vista. I was able to connect just fine to my wireless router. 3am hit and the automatic Windows Update initiated and downloaded some updates for my system. After the reboot, I had a pop-up saying that I now had a device "USB2.0 WLAN Adapter" that needed to have a driver installed and need configuring. That was also the point in time when my laptop stopped picking up any wireless devices around the area, including my own. Here are some of my specs if it will help come up with a solution to this problem.
Model: Toshiba Sattelite A210-062
Manufacturer Part Number: PSAFGC-06208C
Network Adapter: Realtek RTL8101 Family PCI-E Fast Ethernet NIC (NDIS6.O)
I re-installed the network driver and the wireless network driver from Toshiba's main site but still nothing. I also downloaded the Atherios Wireless Lan Adapter driver and installed it and that did nothing too. That "USB2.0 WLAN Adapter" still shows up on my Device Manager as "Other devices" and is still not set up. If someone can help me resolve this issue I'd really really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance!
