Problems changing the mac address of internal wifi adapter
Hello,
I am trying to change(spoof) the MAC address of my Atheros 5006 EX adapter on Windows Vista x32. I tried with various programs no results. I tried adding a NetworkAddress string typed and reg_sz typed value into the registry where my adapter's setting were
located (system\current control set\..), tried rebooting, and disabling and enabling the adapter however the mac does not change (checked with getmac and ipconfig /all). At this moment I tried changing the network address string value from the driver's advanced
tab, still no result. I also located which inf file the driver is using and modified the default value of the network address string to another 6 byte mac address, and still nothing.
Can you please help me change my mac address?
Thank You,
Paul Csiki

Hello Magon Liu,
Thank you for taking time over my thread. However that link did not answer my question. I already specified that I created a NetworkAddress string typed value and that nothing happens by doing so what so ever. I also tried changing the networkaddress string
default value in the inf file asociated with that adapter.
Thank You,
Paul Csiki.
