Problems after Windows 7 Updates
Hi, my Windows 7 pc coudln't connect to the Small Business Server with Exchange runnig on it, was very slow and the Windows-Search didn't work at all, after reinstalling the system (Windows Upgrade) it worked fine, until i installed the windows updates then the same errors occurred again. So I guess the original problem was caused by an automatic Windows Update, do you know which update have been released in the past 1-3 weeks, which could have been installed automatically and caused the problem, or do you know if this is already a known issue and if there is a workaround for it? thank you peter

Make a note of the KB or update number of the ones that have been installed since the last time your PC ran well. Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features and click on Installed Updates in the left column. If you click on the "Installed on" header, you can sort by date. Uninstall the ones that have been installed since the last time your PC ran well. Once your system is back to where it's running like you want, start Control Panel > Windows Update and click on Change settings in the left column. Under Important updates, select "Download updates but let me choose whether to install them." Click OK and run Update. After they are downloaded, you will be notified that there are updates ready to be installed. It will probably be the ones you just uninstalled. Install them one at a time, testing your PC after each one to make sure you are still doing everything you want to do. If you start having problems, uninstall the last one that you installed. That should be the culprit, or at least one of them. Continue on with the rest, one at a time, until finished. You may find that more than one are causing problems. After finding out which ones are the problem ones, you can then research them by KB number to see if others have had problems and what they did to fix it.
