I am attempting to install UrlScan 2.5 to a server to disable the 'Options' HTTP Method to help tighten security. When I tried to do the install, something went wrong, and it only installed to c:\windows\syswow64\inetsrv, and from my understanding, should have installed to c:\windows\system32\inetsrv and also to c:\windows\syswow64\intesrv. I didn't realize there is a 3.1 version available, so I will use that on my next attempt; however, I have a few questions. 1. We have IIS 6.0 installed. I heard that you don't even need to install UrlScan on IIS 6.0 to disable the 'Options' method or other methods. Is that true, and if so, what are the steps to disable that method in IIS 6.0? 2. Has anyone heard of any installation problems like the one above for v. 2.5?1 person needs an answerI do too
