Problem with browse when trying to change my lock screen - Windows 8.1 Pro

1. When I try to change picture on lock screen, select a picture from one of my picture folders, the system just shows a little circle going round and round. No picture gets selected.

2. When I try to change the lock screen picture back to a Windows default, I can no longer find the Windows/Web folder when I search (It will show me the C: drive, but no Windows/Web folder.

Could I possibly have a messed up registry? If so, how can I fix it?

Thanks,

Mary

Hi,

Firstly, access to the path to check if the folder was exists.C:\Windows\Web\Screen

Secondly, according to your description, it seems like you can change Lock Screen now, isn't it?

If problem persists, try to use Dism command to fix system components for test:

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
