Problem with basic programs starting.
Hey all. I'm having a problem opening basic programs in build 7022. I can't get into My Computer, My Documents or any program that I didn't install myself. I'm also not able to update to the next release. Anyone have any idea what's up or have you had this problem before? I haven't been able to find it on the forums anywhere.

No idea what the problem may be with your system, but, the only build that's supported here is Build 7000. Later builds are interim builds that are NOT meant for public consumption. They've been leaked by someone when they shouldn't have been. The reasons why should be obvious - these builds have issues. While they may have cured one bug, they have likely introduced other bugs that cause problems - such as the one you're describing. In addition, you don't know where this particular build has been. Someone could have spiked that file you downloaded with something nasty. The release candidate has not yet been released.Stay tuned for word on when the RC will be released. The official word on all this can be found here.

That first blogconfirms our observation here that MVPs are very aggressively "contributing to an 85+% answer rate during the beta timeframe". The second blog and similar have been kicked around inthread windows 7 RC.But again, where canwe stay tuned to hear official status of thelegitimate RC release?Anybody?
