Hi Alex, Have you encountered issues when accessing an administrative share in Windows Vista? By default, the User Account Control (UAC) feature in Windows Vista prevents access to administrative shares through the network. The solutions in the following Microsoft KB article may be helpful on this issue. Error message when you try to access an administrative share on a Windows Vista-based computer from another Windows Vista-based computer that is a member of a workgroup: "Logon unsuccessful: Windows is unable to log you on" http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947232/en-us However, if the symptom of the issue is not the same as the article described, please let me know the exactly error message you received, also please let me know if the issue persists after you try the steps in the article.

Hi Alex, to enable admin shares in Windows Vista, we can follow the steps below: 1. Click Start 2. Type regedit in Run or Start Search and press Enter. 3. In the left panel, browse to the following folder: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\system\ 4. Right-click a blank area in the right panel. 5. Click New. 6. Click DWORD Value. 7. Type: LocalAccountTokenFilterPolicy. 8. Double-click the item you just created. 9. Type 1 into the box. 10. Click OK. 11. Restart your computer. Hope this helps!
