Problem with Windows 7 Pro using Remote Desktop connecting with onsite terminal server running Win Server 2003
I have performed a clean install of Windows 7 Pro 64 bit over Vista Home Premium 64 bit. I cannot connect to my Terminal Server with Remote Desktop. Server is running Server 2003. HISTORY: Previously RDC using the IP and login ID would connect and bring up server desktop allowing users to login to selected programs. CURRENT ISSUE: I am able to ping server IP and RDC will bring up login popup with login ID populated but do nothing else. Other upgraded machines running Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit have no problem with RDC. Any assistance/guidance will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,Is the Windows 7 Professional machine in a domain or a Workgroup?I suggest you add the Windows 7 User Profile to "Remote Desktop" groups on Terminal Server and then connect again. Please also temporarily turn off firewall or antivirus program on the machine for a test.If there is any error message, please post it here. Thanks,Novak
