Problem with VPN connection
Hi all! I tried to setup VPN conection, all is well, connection ok, but browser does not want loadthe pages ;( Ping to sites is OK, traceroute is OK, but no pages. ICQ and other clients not work too. I tried turn off firewall, encryption,change MTU size,add DNS to connection - no results!!!This problem only in Windows 7 RTM 7600! On the WinXP this VPN worksis perfectly!Please, help me!!!

Hi, This below is what someone else did,Ican't remember the post link. See if it helps. Slan go foill, Paul Following are the steps for configuring Incoming VPN Connection in Windows 7 First go to Control Panel and open Network and Sharing Center. Click on Change adapter settings. Press Alt+F and select New Incoming connection Put a check on who youd like to give access to this computer or you can configure a new account by clicking on Add someone,after that click on Next. Put a check mark on Through the Internet. Click on Next. Select the protocols you want to enable for this connection. Click on Allow access. Make a note of the Computer name as this will be used by the client to connect to this computer and after that Click on Close. Following are the steps for configuring Outgoing VPN Connection in Windows 7 First go to Control Panel and open Network and Sharing Center. Click on Set up a new connection or network. Select Connect to a workplace then click on Next. Select Use my internet connection (VPN). Type the IP address or computer name where you wish to connect and your connection name under the Destination name field.

I have more seriously problem, i know how to configure connection.I thinkhere is the problem in routing packets and DNS. Only microsoft engenier\developer can help me.Many system administratorshelp for me in this problem, but no solution at the moment...

Hi Please also try the following: 1. Go to “Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections”. 2. Right-click the VPN connection and click Properties. 3. Switch to the Networking tab, click Internet Protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4), and then click Properties. 4. Click Advanced, click to select the “Use default gateway on remote network” check box, and then click OK. Additionally, I would also like to share the following with you: You may be unable to access the network when name resolution is performed through a VPN connection on a Windows XP-based or on a Windows Server 2003-based client computer Hope this helps.
