Problem with Registry
I am running Window 7 and have installed an older version of Crystal Report. I also have a copy of Visual Studio running. My problem is after I installed Crystal Reports, I can no longer see my Project References. I get an error "
Error accessing the system registry". After I installed this and did some research. I found out is is a problem Crystal created and back then you could fix it by editing the permissions. You had to run cmd.exe from the task, at 13:10 /interactive
cmd.exe. Well now I can't run with interactive. Is there a way to fix this? The dimmed keys in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib --- are dimmed and I can't change. I know there is schtasks but don't think you can run interactive. Please
help I need to finish a program and cant at this point.

Hi J Thomp,
Thanks for the post!
Is your Crystal Reports are 8.0.0.371 version?
If so, please refer to this
KB 269383: PRB: ‘Error Accessing the System Registry’ Message When Displaying VB/VBA References
Follow the steps to solve this issue.

Thanks Miya
I do have Crystal Reports and that version. The problem I have is in the KB 269383 it tell you to start the command prompt using the task scheduler by entering AT 13:10 /Interactive cmd.exe. I don't think windows 7 will let you do that.
From what I read the AT will not work and also you can not have it interactive. Maybe I'm wrong but I tried scheduling the cmd an nothing ever happened. Maybe there is another way of doing this but I can't find it.
Thanks

KB 193852 looks like they are talking about Windows NT. I'm running window 7. Is there a way to run regedt32 with interactive. Not sure that you can still use the AT in the scheduler to start a job. Read something about schtasks but not
very clear how that works or if it will work with Windows 7.
