Hello Everyone

I think that it correct place for my question but if not then sorry for that.

I have problem with sharing my network connection.

Long time ago my laptop was plugged to domain.

Now in tab where i can share my network connection, I have message that it was disabled by administrator.

I tried to change gpo by gpedit.msc / comp configuration/admin template/network/network connection /forbid use sharing network connection and set that option to disabled. Next was command gpupdate /force but that was not good. Reset my computer. Again not good.

I had set up some option in user configuration that forbid using share network connection as disabled.

After that gpupdate. There was message that i cant connect with my DC server.

Its impossible to do that.
How i can cut out any possible information about that my computer was in domain without format c:/

It is not clear what you want to achieve. You have disconnected from domain and want to change the gpo with the help of domain controller? I do not think it is possible to get GPO from DC for host that is not a part of domain.

Hi

No, i want to change local GPO setting, but because my comp previously was in domain, it trying to connect to DC that he remember, from time when he was in domain.

I would like to remove all information about previous DC. Second thing i will do is restore GPO to its default settings.

If there is still something unclear then ask again.

Leave the domain.
Right-click on Computer and go to properties; under the "Computer name, domain and workgroup settings" section, click Change settings. Hit the Change button and move your computer into a workgroup. It will stop applying any cached GPOs once it is out of
the domain.

If you want to remove all information about previous DC, I suggest you can disjoin the domain and the domain GPO will not affect your local settings.


Regarding the resetting the local group policy settings, please try the following:


1. Click "Start", input "cmd" (without quotation marks) in the Search bar and right click it choose Run as Administrator.
2. In the command prompt, type the command below and press Enter.
NOTE: Substitute C in the command below is your system partition


RD /S /Q "C:\Windows\System32\GroupPolicy"

RD /S /Q "C:\Windows\System32\GroupPolicyUsers"

gpupdate /force
