Problem with Camcorder connection
My JVC GR-D850 camcorder has been used successfully under Vista and XP, connected via Firewire to capture video from the camcorder using Nero 8. However, under Windows 7, the computer can "see" the camera when plugged in, but then freezes on the screen and is unable to download the video. It also has the camera configured as NTSC instead of PAL but there is no way to change this option. The device driver under windows 7 is numbered 6.1.7600.16385, whilst for Windows XP, was 5.3.2600.5512. I have searched everywhere to try to download a device driver for this camera but with no successCan someone suggest a course of action?Gregasus

Hello,Does the problem still happens when using Windows Live Movie Maker? You can download the Live Movie Maker from here. If the issue persists when using Live Movie Maker, I recommend you contact the JVC to find out if this camcorder is compatible with Windows 7. In Windows 7 Compatibility Center, the JVC GR-D850 does not list as compatible.Thomas77
