Problem with BitLocker
Hi i turned on Bitloader on my pendrive(PNY). It generated a key and i saved it. Later due to my mistake i had to brake the encryption. Now when i enter the password it says I/O error and i am not able to format my pendrive nor use it. I am also not able to use teh key that got generated earlier it says wrong key. How can i deactivate the Bitlocker now?

Hi when i try to connect my Pen Drive on a machine which runs on Windows XP then it tells me " This drive cannot be unlocked by the BitLocker To Go Reader The BitLocker To Go Reader can only unlock fully encrypted drives. To gain access to this drive, insert it into a computer running Windows 7 and complete the encryption process." Kindly advice how do i go about it.

Hi, Can you right click the pen drive and choose Bitlocker in Windows 7?If not, you may need the method on the following thread:http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/w7itprosecurity/thread/c77478f6-be39-4735-80ef-47e742753d5fVivian Xing - MSFT

I was enabling BitLocker to my 16GB PNY pendrive. Unfortunately while the encryption was going on i clicked on pause. After that i am not able to use my Pen drive. it showed locked and when i enter the password it says " Request could not be performed because of I/O error". Then i tried clicking forget password and gave the key which got generated but that is also not working. It says wrong key. When i plug my Pendrive to a machine with XP it says connect to a machine with Windows 7 and complete the encryption.I also tried formatting my PenDrive on XP it says Windows was unable to format. Then in XP i was able to see teh BitlLocker ToGo.exe i tried deleteing it but i get an error saying Cannot delete BitLockerToGo: The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.Kindly advice how to fix it.
