My Windows Home Server is'nt able to backup the W7 system. The message that is shown: The server is'nt able to create a volumesnapshot.Iallready started several times the Connector troubleshooter.Just as i re-installed the connector software .Neither automatic nor the manual backup worked.Yesterday the backup was running without any trouble.What's going wrong?Edit: After resarting the machine the backup runs normal. I think W7 hangs up after running several hours.Restart by OS fails. I waited for three hours, theni restarted the machine by reset-button.

Hi Marc, hi peter,on physically machine the whs backup with windows 7 and windows server 2008 r2 is working.But when you install windows in a vhd the whs backup fails. The Windows 7 Backup and Complete PC Backup works also in a vhd.So this where a future feature for whsdevelopment.Kind regards Joerg
