multi(0)DISK(0)RDISK(0)PARTITION(1).. HI my computer halted. While rebooting, with the above error. The system is XP home edition on my laptop. It all started attempting to install networking on my hp pavillion. I tried to reinstall XP apparently in the same partition. Now I have a bigger problem Now I have an error that reads.. Intel UNDI.PXE 2.0 (build 082 ) Copyrignt... For Realtek RTL8139(X)/8130/810X PCI Fast Ethernet Controller v2.13 (020326) PXE-E61:Media test failure, check cable PXE-MOF: EXITING PXE ROM I removed the 2.5 drive and plugged it up to my desktop with a usb enclosure.. Now what shall I do to remedy the problem... 2 people need an answerI do too

Try to reinstall windows XP again but make sure that you completely format the hard drive. I've had errors like this and it means that it can't boot from the hard drive so it's trying to boot from the network. Boot from the installation disc and when it gets to the screen telling you to partition the hard drive delete all partitions and click enter. It will ask you what file system you want and it will continue installing windows. If all else fails, go into the BIOS on HP its usually F2 or F10 and go to Boot Order and make sure Network boot is last on the list. I hope this helps.
