Problem upgrading W8.0 Enterprise to W8.1 Enterprise

Hi,

When trying to upgrade a Lenovo W520 with downloaded ISO-file (Norwegian version) the prosess stop at 87 % at "we do some more configuration". No freezing, but nothing happens. After 7-8 hours I give up and abort the prosess and then the machine restores to last version 8.0. No error messages. I also try a clean install, but with same result. It stops at 87 %.  Any idea?

Best regards

Hi,

For the issue, I suggest you try to burn a windows 8.1 DVD to test it.

If the issue persists, please upload the setup log so that we can help you analyze them.

The log path: C:\WINDOWS\PANTHER

For the detail information, refer to the following link:

NOTE: I highly recommend you use SkyDrive to upload collected files and to post screen shots/pictures. Although you might not be used to it, SkyDrive features a lot of free advanced functionality around file storage capacity, sharing, privacy, and collaboration:

Thank you for your answer Kevin,

I used a burned DVD maked from the ISO-file in this prosess.

It look like the log-files in C:\Windows\Panther is old. All files in that directory is dated 6th. January 2013. It is probably the same date I installed version 8.0 on that computer. Will the files in that directory also be restored when the OS restores to last version? The only way to abort the install prosess when it stops is pushing 5 sec on the on/off button and then the restore prosess start automatically.
