Problem connecting to internet via cell and connecting to wireless router
Because of where I live in South America I connect to the Internet via my HTC touch with Windows Mobile 6.1 using Internet Sharing I get a fast and reliable connection. The problem is I also have a network using a wireless router, which doea not connect to the internet, but when the router is on although the HTC is connected to the internet my computer does not. In network and sharing centre it says there are multiple networks but no internet. There is probably a simple solution to this problem (Besides turning off the router or disabling the wirless adaptor) so if anyone can help it would be much appreciated. On my computer I am running Windows Vista Home Premium Edition.

Hi, Thank you for posting. Based on my research, I would like to suggest the following: 1. Please update the NIC driver. 2. Please check the following network settings: Please go to Control Panel Network Connections, right click on your connection and choose Properties. 1) On the Network Tab of your Connection properties, please choose Internet Protocol Version 4 and click "Properties. And then check if both of the IP Address and DNS are set to be delivered automatically. 2) If setting to obtain the IP Address and DNS automatically, please try to manually assign IP address, subnet mask, default gateway and the DNS settings referring to your routers settings to see if this works. 3. Since the connection is wireless, please use a wired connection to see how it works then. You can also bypass the router to see if the Internetconnection works. If the issue persists, please run ipconfig /all on the computer and post the report to the thread for our further research. Hope this helps. Thanks.Nicholas Li - MSFT
