Problem accessing password controlled accounts on Windows XP
HelloToday I've encountered a rather strange problem on my work laptop. Before I go through the problem I'll just explain how the user accounts are set up: - There are three user accounts set up, the main one with full admin rights with a password. There is also another user account with limited rights but still quite a few applications on it; this too has a password. Finally there is a user account that again has limited rights and very few applications. This has no password. Here's the problem; I switched user/logged out of the main account when I went for lunch, when I tried typing in the password to get me back into Windows I was told that I had typed an incorrect password. I went through all the usual things like checking for capitlaization etc but to no avail.I then tried to log into the secondary account which worked and decided to log out/switch user. Again when I tried to log back in, this time with the password for this account it would not let me however I then attempted to log back into the main account and it logged me back in. The same thing happened when I logged out of the main account again and logged back into the secondary account. It would seem that, at the moment, I cannot log out/switch user and then log straight back into that account without having to log into one of the other accounts first.I have full internet security on my computer, I'm pretty sure there are no viruses, but I double check. I have no idea what's going on.Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.Thank you1 person needs an answerI do too
