Problem Resuming from Sleep - Windows 7 Ultimate
I have a logon password required for my desktop PC. When resuming from sleep when I enter my password some key presses result in 2 dots rather than 1 in the password field. This doesn't happen for all kre presses. I have a 7 character password and it appears to occur on the 1st, 3rd, 5th & 7th kep presses only. If the backsapce key is pressed after a "2 dot press", one of the dots is erased but on hitting enter the invalid logon message appears. The same happens if I try and switch users. The only way the get the PC back is a restart. Anyone got any ideas ?

This issue occurs if the keyboard driver is not compatible. What is the model of the keyboard? Is it PS2 or USB device? Also please let us know the model of your computer or the motherboardYou may download the Windows 7 compatible driver for the keyboard from the manufacturer's website. If it does not help, you may reload USB controllers and see if it helps.1. Click "Start", type in Device Manager the Search bar and press "Enter". Click Continue if necessary.2. In Device Manager, double click to expand "Universal Serial Bus controllers", right click on the "Host Controller", click "Uninstall" and click "OK".3. Repeat the step 2 to uninstall all items under "Universal Serial Bus controllers".Then, restart your computer and Windows 7 will reinstall all USB controllers automatically.Arthur Xie - MSFT
