Private Folder
I run my laptop on Windows Vista. I have heard about Private Folders and would like to have this option on my PC as a friend borrows the laptop from time to time and there are some things that I would like to limit access to. Can anyone tell me if the Private Folder is still available and if so, will it run in Vista. Many Thanks Susan

Hi Private Folder has been blocked in Windows Vista due to compatibility issues. However, you don't need it.You can create a Standard user account (Go to the Orb > Control Panel > User Accounts > Manage another account> Create a new account > Fill in the account name and select the "Standard user" option) and tell your friend to use the standard user account. Now, move all your sensitive data to C:\Users\YourUsername. Make sure your account has a password, if you don't have any, set one in the User Accounts Menu. This way, when your friends logs in with his standard account, he will be prompted for an administrator password (your account's password) in orded to gain access to another user's folder. If he doesn't know the password, he can't get in.
