That's a great question! Too many people don't think about computer security at all. Here are some suggestions: 1. Create a strong password for your Hotmail account. Don't tell it to anyone. Change it regularly. 2. Don't log into your Hotmail account from a public computer in a library, hotel lobby, etc. 3. If other people use your computer, sign out of Hotmail each time you finish using it. Don't have the computer remember your password. 4. You might get an E-mail message that tries to steal your account information by telling you that you have to reply to the message and provide you E-mail address and password to keep your account open. Don't fall for it.
