Printer problem

Although my laptop knows that my Epson Stylus colour 600 printer is present, I am unable to print to it - it  does not appear on the list of printer options in the print menu, and I am unable to search for it as I get a message telling me the Active Directory Domain services are unavailable.

I am using Office 365  Home premium to create documents, and running windows 8.1

I did have to uninstall and reinstall 8.1 as it was causing problem, and returned the laptop to its original settings as a consequence.

Stephanotis,

According to Epson, there are no drivers currently available for your printer to work with Windows 8.1.  This would be why youre unable to print.

At this point your only option is to find another printer that is compatible with Windows 8.1.  A good place to check for compatibility is the Windows Compatibility Center.  I hope this helps!

Hello Mike,

Thank you for your response, which I have only just looked at for various reasons.

I have to say I am  very disappointed that Epson hasn't made drivers available- I hadn't anticipated having to have a printer upgrade to go with 8.1- I don't do a massive amount of printing and my trusty Epson works fine.
