Printer Spooler is started though Windows tells me otherwise.
I have a user that is having problems printing. In Windows XP, on the printers & faxes menu of Control Panel she can see the various printers she needs. Although when I right-click on one of them to go to Properties so I can print a test page I get an error. Printer Properties cannot be displayed because the print spooler is not running. Or something VERY close to that. I went into the Services administrative tool to see if it was running and sure enough it was started and set to automatic. What should I do to fix this or where should I begin looking?1 person needs an answerI do too

Hi Nass,Thank you for your response. Yes the printers do work okay. In fact I did forget to mention something. The printers work for everyone excluding her. Regardless of what work laptop she's on she cannot access the printers. Although her personal laptop works just fine.

Do you mean just Her Account! Did you checked GPO and permissions? This sound like restrictions been put in place to limit access to the Printer. nass -- http://www.nasstec.co.uk
