Print spooler issue on Windows 7
We have an issue within Windows 7 where sometimes the print spooler will be stopped on the local PC (it stops on it's own). It seems to be only happening on Lenovo laptops (T model). The thing is you can start the print spooler and it will restart with no problem and will work fine for the rest of the day or even for a few days before it will stop itself again. We have tried the print drivers uninstall/reinstall and this has not fixed the issue. Does anyone have any ideas? I saw the response about clearing the file in Windir\system32\spool\printers and was wondering if you just restart the print spooler with doing this does that clear out that printers file as well? We don't find any files in the printer folder. Let me know if anyone has any idea. The printers are not just one type, but it does seem to be only happening to Lenovo laptops.

Hi, Please make sure that the installed printer driver is the latest version for Windows 7 and test the issue in Clean Boot. If the issue persists in Clean Boot, I also would like to suggest you perform the troubleshooting steps the following Microsoft Knowledge Base Article suggests: You cannot print and you receive the error message "Spooler subsystem app has encountered a problem and needs to close" Does it work?
