Print problems in Windows 7 - Deskjet 2800
I just upgraded to Windows 7 from Vista and now I can't get my Business Deskjet 2800 to print at all.Is there any workaround so I can at least print? If I can't get it to work, I'll have to go back to Vista (ugh!). I don't plan or think I need to buy another printer.

Did you update the driver yet? HP has new Windows 7 drivers for 32 & 64bit. You didn't say what machine you have but could be an issue with your USB port(s). When you go to properties of that printer, can you do a test page? and did it print?MCSE, MCSA, MCDST

Hi mrgraz, It seems there is no Windows 7 driver available for this printer. According to HP's website, some the buttons on the product do not function and some of the advanced product features are not available with the basic driver provided by Windows 7. Please refer to HP's website to check this issue first. You can contact HP directly to confirm this as well. Please Note: The third-party product discussed here is manufactured by a company that is independent of Microsoft. We make no warranty, implied or otherwise, regarding this product's performance or reliability. Regards, Linda

I don't know what you looked at for drivers, but HP certainly does have Windows 7 drivers in both 32 & 64bit here http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=429040&taskId=135&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=3656598&lang=en&cc=usMCSE, MCSA, MCDST

Hi cdobbs, If you click driver for Windows 7 in the website you provided, you will find the driver listed was published on 16 Oct 2009. After clicking "Obtain software", it is an article which introduces "Installing the Product with the USB Cable and Using the Driver Located in the Windows 7 Operating System" instead of the driver installation file for Windows 7. In thisarticle, it mentioned "A full feature software and driver package for Windows 7 is not available for your product. However, the Windows 7 operating system installed on your computer contains a basic driver solution for your product."Therefore, it is still recommended contacting HP directly to confirm if there is any driver update available for Windows 7.
