Print Spooler restart requiered all the time.
So, i work on the IT department of a school and i'm just an apprentice. But none of us at the office seem to find a solution to this one problem about print spooler. Basic info: We're using Windows 7 and Windows Server 2003 for the print server. Same problem applies to HP printers aswell as Xerox printers. All network printers. (All the printers we have available.) Anyhow, when people try to print, they often (very often) due to the fact that it stops working. We have handed out a guide, but i can see the frustration that the users have, restarting the print spooler all the time. We seem to have found out that during logon, if you type username and password the moment the logon screen appears, the computer is not "correctly" connected to the net here at work yet, so it'll be the same as logging in anywhere else outside of work. But if you wait a minute or so, you have a higher chance of being able to print. But, when i try to print from my computer that has been only in this network since forever, i allso have to restart my print spooler freequently. Due to a bug or what ever with the printer i use, or the driver, i can only print one example of the document at a time, instead of 10, as i would like. So, i sit there pressing the print button every now and then, and after about 3-5 prints, i have to restart my print spooler. Are there any solutions to this problem? Hope it's understandable. If not, i'll try my best to elaborate. Thanks!
