Have you tried stopping the spooler service, deleting everything and restarting it? If not try it:Open a Run window (Windows key+R), type cmd and press Enter. Now type these commands, which are in capitals for clarity only:NET STOP SPOOLER and press EnterDEL %SYSTEMROOT%\SYSTEM32\SPOOL\PRINTERS\*.* and press EnterNET START SPOOLER and press EnterEXIT and press Enter

BurrWalnut: Followed your suggestion and got the following message. System Error 1075 has occurred. The dependency service does not exist or has been marked for deletion. What next? Thanks for your help.

BurrWalnut: Followed your suggestion and deleted files. In a last ditch effort, went back to Mr. Fixit and found a solution for not being able to load printer. Allowed Mr. Fixit to do its thing. Reloaded drivers for the HPLaserJet1020. It is working now. Thanks for the lead that cleared the decks, so reloading could work. Best Regards
