Prevent windows from using a certain driver.
Here's the situation:
I bought a sound card and the driver supplied with it breaks my PC.
I found that windows generic sound card drivers seem to work.
Windows recently put me back on the broken driver automatically and won't install the generic one in the way it did before.
Is there a way to force windows to use it's own driver rather than the Envy24 ones it keeps downloading? (Which make my computer nigh unusable by making the kernel use up an entire core.)

Delete the cached driver in your system. In dell computers it is installed in c:\dell\drivers once you had it deleted uninstall the driver and then reinstall the generic driverhttp://www.cesabarre.com/
