Prevent Domain users from creating file share, not printer share
We need to prevent domain users in a windows 2003 domain currently from creating a network file share. We still want the ability to create a printer share. We have done this before in Windows XP, but do not seem to find a way with Windows 7 Enterprise. Is there any way using either a script, group policy, or a custom reg hack. We need the file & print sharing in the TCP stack, so that is out. We do not just want to stop a user from creating a share in the profile either; we want to prevent a use from creating a share from any location of the hard drive. If it cannot be done, I would be happy to read any other method that would give the same results. Thank you for taking the time to read my question.Drew
