I would think you can neither order nor preorder something "through here". To preorder Windows 7, you can either preorder it at your favorite reseller / online shop or Microsoft Store, or buy a Vista version or OEM PC with "free W7 upgrade option". Once it's been released, you can order it quite normally since it would be too late for a "pre" order. (Looks like a silly answer, but I don't know what exactly you are asking for, especially referring to the "genuine" thing.) Sanmartin - I think Adrian is simply wanting a copy of Windows 7 that comes directly from Microsoft as opposed to one of those questionable software sites that promise to deliver wares for "bargain basement prices" and may be anything BUT legitimate. You've probably gotten the same email - Adobe Acrobat - full for $99 (instead of the usual $400 or whatever it costs these days) - and so forth.

Sanmartin - About what you posted... I think you covered his options very well. Just suggesting what he might have meant about getting a genuine copy (as opposed to a not so genuine copy...).

Adrianwas probably talking about that upgrade offer Microsoft had for $50.00a while back.
