Pre-Logon Connect
Hi to all,I have two Latitude E6400. One is running XP and the other is Windows 7.Am using the feature called Pre-Logon connect which is supposed to authenticate the laptops to the AD domain through wireless network. Cisco Wireless LAN is using EAP-FAST and RADIUS through AD. Authentication works fine on both laptops. However, I find the performance of the Windows 7 machine unacceptable as it is not able to run the logon script and consequently unable map network drives immediately. Whereas the XP laptop connects extremely well without hickup. runs logon script and maps network drives immediately.Any idea why is this so? Intel Wireless NIC is 5300 AGN.Anybody else using the same setup or have experience this? I would appreciate any insights or suggestions from the folks in this forum.Cheers.

Thank goodness! Intel has released PROSET software that supports Windows 7. Pre-Logon authentication via wireless is now working. However, connecting to DFS shares via wireless is still a pain as sometimes it does and other times it does not. :(
