I think this is part of your problem. To use the Power Users group on Windows Vista/7, a new security template must be applied to change the default permissions on system folders and the registry to grant Power Users group permissions equivalent to Windows XP. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2028493

Have you tried what I recommended in creating a new security template & updating the registry for equivlent Power User permissions and applied both? Did you refer to the link from the link above on Undestanding user/group security permisssion changes in Vista & 7? http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc709628%28WS.10%29.aspx http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb742512.aspx What settings are you setting in this security template and what are the errors you're getting (if any)?

Hi We findout the solution for Power Users sharing the folders in Windows 7 1. User should be a member of “Power users” group. Ensure the user is not a member of groups like Guests. 2. UAC settings are set to the lowest “never notify me ..” 3. The user should have full control on the folders he is trying to share. OR The user should be the owner of the folder he is trying to share. 4. Ensure that there are no DENY ACE entries under the folders security tab. UAC Settings Go to > Start > Run > Msconfig > Tools > select “Change UAC settings” and hit the launch button > Slide down the slider to the last option i.e. “Never Notify..” > hit OK and reboot the computer.
