Power Policy Manager
I am still trying to get hibernation to work properly again.I have tried to change power scheme settings, click Apply and hit the "Save As" button, and if I don't change the name and click OK, I still get the error message "Power Policy Manager unable to set policy. Indicates two revision levels are incompatible." I have seen the suggestion to delete the power scheme in use. However, when I go to the Control Panel, Power Options there is only one scheme available ("Home/Office Desk") and the Delete button is grayed out and not available. I try to change a setting, then click on Apply, go to the top of the page and change the name of the power scheme to "New Option" and click on "Save As" and "Apply" again. It still does not become effective and when I go back to Control Panel, Power Options only the old defaul name of "Home/Office Desk" is available. and the "New Option" is nowhere to be seen and is not available. Another tech indicated that my computer must be Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) compliant. How do I determine if it is compliant and how do I make it compliant if it isn't already?Any ideas?3 people need an answerI do too
