Post hibernation/sleep windows 7 not detecting LAN unless restarted
I have a ASUS X5DIJ series laptop Pentium Dual Core T4200 and Win 7 professional 64 bit After I switch on the laptop from sleep or hibernation mode, it doesn't detect the network and keeps on saying "identifying network" after which it says no network found. Restarting fixes the problem but not always. Sometimes i need to remove the LAN cable after a restart to get it to detect the LAN. Of course the Internet remains inaccessible meanwhile. The network adapter is Atheros AR8121/AR8113/AR8114 PCI-E Ethernet Controller , driver date 8/23/2009, version 1.0.0.18 This never happened in Windows Vista so I don't think its a hardware issue. Had the same problem when I first installed 7. Turned off power saving features in both the wired/wireless nic's and all is good now. See what that does for you.MCSE, MCSA, MCDST [If this post helps to resolve your issue, please click the "Mark as Answer" or "Helpful" button at the top of this message.
