Pokki on new Win 8.1 all-in-one compuyer. Can I uninstall this

So, what exactly is this Pokki Host App Service / Updater that loads? If I uninstall it, does that mean I no longer have the screen with the square apps? I rarely use that screen, and have tried to uninstall most of the games.

Can I uninstall this Pokki without losing any functions of the computer?

Thank you!

Thanks for your reply. I read both posts' and read the wiki. Clicking "Uninstall" in control panel brings up the warning box, That the "Start Menu and the PC App Store" will be uninstalled. Don't care about the app store.

But is the big blue screen with the apps on it what they are calling the "Start Menu"? I currently boot into the "old" desktop.

Or is it that House icon on the task bar?

Thank you.

Thanks. I did uninstall it just fine. I wasn't sure if deleting the program also deleted the desktop. It didn't. Thanks for your replies.
