hi,everyone.im so sorry if i created new threat if same thing exist in this section but im really really tired of searching everywhere and i dont get any answer.i hope this forum can help me fix this problem.here is my problem: we have one domain and 2 dc.so i joined the a few XP client to server 2003 and work fine to gether but the problem with one notebook VISTA.that computer work fine like a week or something and then i dont know what happen to that every Client in Network place is gone.i checked fire wall is disable i checked antivirus is shut down and check all option related to network like dicovery option in vista and sharing all of the is perfect and no problem become from that but i dont know why this thing is happen.i pinget my network and without any drop pocket everything come back but when i try to connect to one of other client in network have this problem sometime all computer is gone.just remain one way to use IP address to reach the for example client 1.please if someone here know something about this problem help me to fix it i so so sconfused i dont know what's wrong with vista i dont have these problem with 7 and xp and linux or anything else. thank u so much

Hi,When you ping, can you ping by name or do you have to use the IP address?Can you connect to other computers using \\computername ?Thanks,-Greg

first of all thank u for u answer. sec,yes i can connect with ip but with name of computer ,sometime can and sometime not.rest of computer in Domain is work great without any problem just this notebook have problem with Network and i think all problem back to VISTA os.do u have any idea to fix things?! thank u and i wait
