Plex is missing -- completely lost
So I cannot bring a single drive back online at all. It has no mirrors or anything. Just a standard dynamic drive. After a roommate pulled the power adapter out of the socket without asking, it shutdown everything on my server machine immediately. I had issues with my mirrored drives with the same Plex is missing, or redundancy failure, and I ended up formatting and got it back in action. BUT this last drive is refusing to work. Reactivating the disk does nothing and I get "The Plex is missing". How can I get the drive fixed? I've google searched and cannot find a fix if reactivating the disk does not work.

Try to place disk in another computer and run Recuva to retrieve stored files. Rgds Milos

Hi, After Milo's suggestion, you can also try to use some third party drive repair tools for check. Regards. Spencer TechNet Community Support

I tried Recuva, but you can only select drives that windows recognizes. There is no drive letter assigned because the drive is giving the error to me.... I've completely given up on most of this issue. I managed to scramble enough drives together to migrate the data off and I am currently reformatting windows and going to start from scratch. I am still stuck, though, with a 1.5TB drive that is so far unrecoverable. Any other recommended 3rd party apps or other ways to get this stupid Plex is Missing error fixed?

Hi, You can try this tool to be extremely effective at recovering data and logical partitions. But it's not for free. Also you may get the help from some professional data recovery company.
