Playstation 3 can't find media server on Windows 7
I've purchased a new PC with WIndows 7 Home Premium. My previous PC also had Win 7 Home Premium and Media Player12. I had no problem streaming content to my PS3. It all went swimmingly well. However, my new PC is another matter. I've added media to the WMP library, configured sharing, allowed the unknown player access.Without any success. I've installed other media servers and they work- most of the time but I'd rather use Windows Media Server. I'm running Norton 360 v 4.0- wasn't a problem on my other PC. I have the same version on both. PS3 just won't find the media server. Please any advice

Hi, Based on my research, I would like to suggest the following: 1. Check if this Windows 7 computer can share media with other computers. 2. Ensure your firewall settings are not blocking media sharing: Sharing your media 3. Please temporarily remove Norton 360 and some other security software for a check. Please ensure you have the installation media before removing it. In addition, I would like to share the following with you for your reference: Stream your media to devices and computers using Windows Media Player Thanks.Nicholas Li - MSFT
