Plain old Windows screensaver missing
Hi. Anybody else notice that the plain old "Windows 7" screensaver is missing from the choices in the RC? I prefer it to just the "blank screen" option...If anyone has the .scr file still availablefrom the beta, please let me know. Thanks /jim

Jim - Odd.. I see "Blank" as an option on my list of screen savers build into the Win 7 RC...It's the 2nd one from the top - right under 3D text.

Hi Wolfie, perhaps I was unclear.Yes - "Blank" DOES appear on the list. But the old, traditional "WINDOWS" screensaver (just a logo that popped up in various spots on the screen)DOES NOT appear on the list, and this is odd because it has been around forever (Vista, Windows7 beta, et al)./j

OK.. Didn't realize that the blank screen thing was nothing more than - a blank screen... The old one had a logo that would pop up periodically. Hmm.. Could be they're working on an updated Windows Logo for 7...? Hard to say. I was kind of expecting a new splash screen logo for Vista that went above the little progress bar when you boot into it. That didn't happen.

Thanks for the effort fmdj1, but that's not it.If anyone has access to the beta installed on a machine, if you search on *.scr in \windows\system32, you should be able to find it for me.I found one out on the net, but I'm a bit skeptical because it is about 5mb in size..Thanks/jim

Jim - If you've got the DVD for the beta, you could try searching for the file and manually expanding it.
