Pirated copy of windows 7, how many days until my computer locks up? Or will it?
Hello, I bought a laptop off of someone and the copy of windows 7 that it came with is apparently pirated. It's been telling me it's pirated for almost a month now, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me if my computer will eventually lock up? And how many days does it take? (Please note, I am trying to get a refund for my computer, hence why I have not bought a copy myself.)

We had a problem at our campus with someone enabling some Group Policies that effectively made the Windows 7 machines on campus unable to communicate with our KMS server. The machines immediately came with up a black background that stated something along the lines of this windows 7 machine is not genuine ect... we resolved the issue but left one machine disconnected to test how long before it locked up. It has not yet the only thing that seems to happen is a reminder that the machine is a victim of software piracy but it does not appear to ever get locked out.

In the search box of the start menu, type slui 4 which brings up phone activation, and speak to a person once you pick the phone number for your region Vote if answered or helpful, I am running for Office (joke)!
