Pinnacle Studio 17 install invalidated by upgrade to 8.1

Hello, All.

When I attempt to open Pinnacle Studio I receive an error message: " The Operating System has been upgraded after Studio was installed. Some or all of the program's features may not operate correctly. We recommend that you re-install the software." The install disc for Studio says all is installed. I used the setup.exe to attempt a repair and received notice that the digital signature for one of the .dll is not valid. This is why I have been avoiding windows 8.1, not to mention I still use firewire devices. In any case, my dilemma is: roll back to 8.0 and delete the updates that tricked me into upgrading or uninstall and reinstall software and drivers?

Is there a compelling case for me to keep the upgrade? If so, is there a work around to the error message and run my software anyway?

Thanks,

  1. Right click on the shortcut of Studio on the desktop "Studio.exe"
  2. Select Properties
  3. On the properties Window, select compatibility tab and opt for earlier OS [WINDOWS 8]
  4. Click OK.
  5. Launch Studio and verify that the problem is resolved.

You may download and install the  latest patch For Pinnacle Studio 17
