Ping doesn't work, network sharing doesn't work
Sony VAIO laptop: 192.168.1.5 (Win7 64 Home Premium)
HP laptop: 192.168.1.6 (Vista 32 home)
Norton360 v4.0 running in both machines
D-Link DSL-2407B (WiFi): 192.168.1.1
Pinging from 192.168.1.5 to 192.168.1.6 doesn't work. Target host not found
Pinging from 192.168.1.5 to 192.168.1.1 works
Norton firewall disabled in both machines. Still not able to ping between two laptops or see shared drives
NETBIOS enabled
So what is the problem ?
EDIT:
Wifi Link and net browsing works in both machines

Can you ping in the other direction (.6 to .5?) Do you have File and Printer Sharing enabled on both?-B-

pinging from .6 to .5 and .5 to .6 doesn't work
Could it be D-Link issue ?
File and printer sharing is enabled and password protection is OFF

Sony VAIO laptop: 192.168.1.5 (Win7 64 Home Premium) WiFi Connection
HP laptop: 192.168.1.6 (Vista 32 home) Wired connection
Norton360 v4.0 running in both machines (firewall on)
D-Link DSL-2407B: 192.168.1.1
By connecting my Vista computer via wire to DSL-2407B router I was able to ping and share networks for both directions
Now the issue seems to be in D-Link DSL-2407B router or Windows 7 driver
NetMonitor showed ARP REQ from 192.168.1.5 to 192.168.1.6 (from Windows 7 computer), but no response
So it seems that D-Link has a routing problem, but what can I do ? It has latest firmware...

Hi,
Do you have another wireless router can be used to test the issue?
I would like to suggest you install the latest version of the wireless network card driver, temporarily disable Norton and Windows Firewall to check
the result.
