I recently purchased a Windows 8 computer. I loaded a bunch of potos to my photo gallery. Now every time I open photo gallery I get the error message: Photo Gallery has stopped working, And then it closes. I cannot keep it open long enough for me to even
try and search for a reason.
Hi pyrotime,
Thank you for posting this issue on the TechNet community forums.
From the description I understand that you're having problems with your Photo Gallery closing with the error message: "Photo Gallery has stopped working" after you loaded a bunch of photos onto it.
I am assuming everything was working fine before you uploaded the photos so it's possible that it's since become corrupted. However, there is a solution for everything. See this link:

Hi pyrotime,
"photo gallery"Do you mean the built-in windows store apps ?
Considering this is a brand new machine ,please manually check for updates for the machine and ensure the machine has got the latest updates.
Will the other store apps worked correctly ?
If only this specifci app won`t work correctly, we can try the fixit tool as Zach posted to have a check .
If the issue persists,we also can try to run the troubleshoot tool to have a check.
Apps troubleshooter
We also can clear the Windows Photo Gallery directory to have a check.
