I had a Lacie 500 gb external hardrive that had a malfunctioning cable. I acquired a Calvary terrabyte external hard drive. I just reloaded the LaCie software but my system does not recognize the 500 gb system but did recognize the newer Calvary hard drive even though i invoked the LaCie unit. I rebooted but the computer still did not recognize the LaCie drive - it did recognize the Cavalry unit. I unplugged all of the external drives and the computer still recognized the Calavary unit but not the Lacie unit. I rebooted without any external drives attached but it still recongized the Calvary unit files. I did not try delete any of these files but did try to open a file which it did.StoneRaven
