Persistent route through GPO
Hi , In our route add setup I would like to add a route to my routing table like this: route add 202.186.13.206 mask 255.255.255.255 10.5.1.1 -p The purpose to add this route is to let our VPN user to direct to our firewall gateway in order to access the 202.186.13.206 by using our corporate VPN ip and not the non-corporate IP. This is because got restriction on the host 202.186.13.206 only can allow our corporate ip. However, when I push the route add batch file script through the GPO ,client laptop unable to access the server 202.186.13.206 even though from route print is listed the route. Since the added route is listed but it doesn't seem to work. So I try to execute that 'route add' command again and as expected, it tells me that "The route addition failed: The object already exists." But - and that's the point - when I try to route delete the route table and using manual route add by using command prompt with administrator right, everything is works! Client able to access the destination server using the VPN ip . Did anyone have any idea why the route add push by the GPO doesn't function at all even though is listed in the route print. Please help. Leong
