Persistent Windows 7 Networking Errors in SBS2003 Domain
At a clients office there a number of Windows 7 Pro laptops that have been a constant source of headaches almost since the first day they got them. At least once a day someone will get an error message about accessing a share on another computer. These errors range from "An error occurred while reconnecting <Drive> to <path>. The network path was not found" to "This item appears to have been moved". The problem is there is precisely nothing wrong with these shared folders. Not one single person using the XP machines enounters any of these errors. The shares people are having trouble with are on XP Pro machines, a NAS and also the SBS2003 server itself. Are there any steps I can take to try and find the cause of these errors, as not only are they frustrating, people can't get their work done. Is there any settings within Windows 7 that I may have missed? Any and all help would be welcome!

Hi, Based on my research, I would like to suggest the following: 1. Please check if you can ping the host of the share with its IP Address or Host name. 2. Boot the Windows 7 computer to Safe Mode with networking and see if it works. 3. Update the NIC driver on the computers. 4. If you have not installed this update, please also try it: Windows Small Business Server 2003: Windows 7, Windows Vista and Outlook 2007 compatibility update If the issue persists, please also check the event log and see if there are any related errors. Thanks. Nicholas Li - MSFT
