Persian Locale contains wrong items...
This is a few time from earlier versions of Windows that I describe this problem but nobody cares . I wonder when I see these important thingsarenot mentioned . I describe it again and if I didn't get any change, may be next time I will try to send it to Steve, or may be Bill if I could find them ! In regional settings, WINDOWS supports too many locales and one of them is Persian. Everything is Ok on this Locale but one thing. The original Persian Date Calendar is 'Jalali Calendar' or 'Persian Calendar' andeveryone who use Persian locale will not use 'Hijri Calendar' and this calendar is only belongs to Arabic countries . Microsoft is familiar with 'Persian Calendar' because they put it on .net frame work class library. The class name is 'PersianCalendar '. So, please be kind and put this 'Persian' calendar in to Persian Locale . In Addition there is a few spelling error in calendar type, for example they use "()" but the correct one is : " ( " and there is more than this .

Thank you for your feedbackKamyar 5353.I'm a tester on the Windows GlobalizationServices team.I've brought this tomy team mates' attention as they own the calendar features in Windows.I learned that we had receivedrequets forPersiancalendarand considered for Windows 7. However, various other features took the priority, so the calendar support had to be dropped. As for the spelling error, I've opened a tracking item in our internal bug tracking system. We'll triage itseparately from the above although it'll most likely be for thenext release.Thank you,ShuWindows Globalization Services TestThis posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
