Permissions and startup questions
Hello, I am usings Windows 7 Home Premium and have some permission problems that I do not understand. My account is an administrator account, yet when I try to run ACT! it says that I'm not an administrator. The only way that I could run it is to right-click on the ACT! icon and select "run as administrator"? How do I fix my account so that I do not have to do that for any more software? Now that I've done that, every time that I turn on my laptop, I get a dialog box, asking if it is ok for ACT to modify the system (or something like that). How do I get rid of that message box? In Windows XP, I had rights to all of the folders on the hard drive, like the startup folder. In Windows 7, I don't. How do I remove an application from the startup folder if I don't have access to the folder in C:\users? The Documents and Settings folder is also locked. How do I unlock it? Another problem I'm having is when I ran the troubleshoot system and security tool, it said that I did not have administrator rights and to check a box to run as administrator. According to the control panel I have administrator rights, but windows doesn't seem to recognize it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Hi, Please temporarily disable the third party security programs to check the issue. If the issue persists, I suggest boot in Safe Mode and Clean Boot to test this issue. Also, you may disable UAC and restart the computer to enable it again: Turn User Account Control on or off Please create a new administrator account to have a test.
